This 2023 BMW R 18 is one of 1,923 100 Years examples produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of BMW Motorrad’s first bike, the R32, and it is finished in Avus Black with white pinstripes and powered by an air-cooled 1,802cc opposed twin paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes an Akrapovič muffler, triple ABS disc brakes with radial calipers, a black and Oxblood Red Option 719 seat, cruise control, an adaptive headlight, and chrome fuel tank panels. Service in preparation for the sale included flushing the brake fluid, replacing spark plugs, and changing the oil. The bike comes with a clean title and the original owner’s manuals.
BMW Motorrad’s 100 Years versions are finished in Avus Black with dual white pinstripes and feature Classic Chrome accents on the fuel tank and rear fender. This example is further equipped with a black and Oxblood Red Option 719 seat, a 4.5-gallon fuel tank, an adaptive headlight, a side stand, and a machined fuel filler cap.
Wire-spoke wheels with black-finished 19″ front and 16″ rear rims are mounted with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear Michelin Commander tires. Integral ABS braking is from four-piston radial calipers clamping dual floating discs up front and a single fixed disc out back.
The chrome handlebar is mounted on pullback risers and features heated grips, round chrome mirrors, and switches for the cruise control. Instrumentation consists of a 130-mph speedometer with an inset digital display. The digital odometer indicates 5 miles.
A 100 Years BMW Motorrad badge is affixed atop the fuel tank, and it identifies this bike as one of 1,923 examples produced.
The air/oil-cooled 1,802cc opposed twin is equipped with BMS-K+ electronic engine management and twin-spark ignition, and it was factory rated at 91 horsepower and 116 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a hydraulic single-plate dry clutch and a six-speed transmission. The chrome Akrapovič muffler features a perforated BMW logo at the exhaust tip.
