This 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 is one of 1,985 1 Million Commemorative Edition bikes built to celebrate the production of 1,000,000 GSX-Rs, the first of which was introduced in 1985. The bike is finished in white, red, blue, and black, and power comes from a 999cc DOHC inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes an aluminum twin-spar frame, a solo seat, a passenger pillion, electronic fuel injection, a Showa inverted fork, an adjustable monoshock, a four-into-two-into-one exhaust system, Brembo radial front disc brakes, clip-on handlebars, 17″ three-spoke alloy wheels, analog and digital gauges, and a side stand. The bike was serviced included changing the oil, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the battery and tires. The bike comes with a clean title and the original owner’s manuals.
The fully-faired bodywork is finished in white, black, red, and blue and mounted to a black-finished aluminum twin-spar frame. Color-contrasting graphics and carbon fiber accent the bodywork, and additional details include a black solo seat, a passenger pillion, a clear bubble windscreen, a 4.9-gallon fuel tank, fairing-mounted mirrors, and a side stand.
White-finished 17″ three-spoke wheels were mounted with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 tires by the selling dealer. Braking is handled by dual discs with radial-mounted Brembo four-piston calipers up front as well as a single disc with a Nissin caliper out back. The brake fluid was flushed by the selling dealer. Suspension consists of an adjustable inverted Showa telescopic fork as well as an adjustable monoshock mounted to the reinforced aluminum swingarm.
Clip-on handlebars are mounted below the top triple clamp and front instrumentation consisting of an analog tachometer with a 13,500-rpm redline and a multifunction digital display. The digital odometer shows 2,400 miles.
The top triple clamp bears a plaque designating the bike as number 30 of the 1,985 1 Million Commemorative Edition examples produced. Features unique to this edition include a red shock spring, fairing trim, and fork caps as well as wheel stripe graphics, a special key fob, and black front brake calipers with red lettering.
The liquid-cooled 999cc DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 182 horsepower and 86 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with Suzuki’s Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber design (TSCC), electronic fuel injection, an electric starter, and a four-into-two-into-one exhaust system with an upswept muffler. The engine oil was changed and the battery was replaced in preparation for sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a multi-disc wet clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
